Velgen is where everything began for Deerberg: Gabi and Stefan Deerberg started the Deerberg mail-order service from their own home in Velgen – and you can still get comfortable shoes and clothing from Deerberg today at this attractive location on the Lüneburg Heath. Our individual range of shoes and clothing is displayed in a 1,000 m2 shopping space.
In order to achieve our excellent quality, we use the very best materials. These include certified organic cotton, finest linens and leather tanned using either natural or chromium-free tanning processes. In addition to high quality, we also place great store by our social standards and consider the ecological aspects of our manufacturing. Sustainable trading practices link us closely to the manufacturers of our shoes and clothing. We believe that comfortable shoes and chic fashion go extremely well together.

Lindgren Hus
Just next door is Lindgren Hus. Here you can find beautiful objects for your kitchen, bathroom, living room or bedroom. Deerberg´s trainee staff have displayed our ranges themed according to these rooms. This is because Lindgren Hus is the sole project of our trainee staff, and is intended to help with their training and to promote their skills and ideas. Whether you´re just looking for a small gift or something for your own four walls – in Lindgren Hus in Velgen you´ll be able to find wonderful decorative objects or even small cabinets and cupboards.
Velgen on the Lüneburg Heath
Come with some extra free time when you drop in because Velgen is located directly on the Lüneburg Heath: stroll for a while through the picturesque village of Velgen. There´s a beautiful walking route that takes you past the farms, an internationally famous stud farm, as well as fields and meadows – and beyond. From Velgen, you can access the Lüneburg Heath directly, which has attractions in every season of the year – though we think it´s most beautiful in August, when the heath is in full bloom!
